Well, it seems as though spring is in full effect. While most of us are dreading shaking off the rust brought on by the winter snow, it looks like Kiefer and Julius have no problems re-adjusting. Enjoy!

Buffalo's Known Associates

Real's Known Associates is about highlighting those skateboarders who preserve their local skate scene by building it spot by spot. Real "Known Associates" Contest

Real is currently running a contest that calls on skateboarders to submit videos of them building/creating spots in their scene to skate. Since the shop opened just short of 5 years ago, we've went out a built a few things to try and make some bust-free spots in Buffalo for you to enjoy. Here is a quick clip I threw together showing some of the work/play that went into creating those spots.

Nike SB "Don't Fear the Sweeper" Tour Part II

Merry Christmas! We hope Santa brought everything you had on your list. Luckily for us, we got an awesome present in having 2 members of the Sunday family home for the holidays, Dan Plunkett and Jake Donnelly. Dave Weaver's Utah Trip

At the beginning of this summer, shop rider Dave Weaver took a 40-day long trip out to Utah to visit some friends and family. He came back and put together this clip of stuff he filmed on the trip. I'm super psyched on this montage, he did an awesome job putting it together. Enjoy!

Another summer, another ledgespot

The past week or so, JP, Dave E, and the guys have been busy rebuilding the ledgespot downtown. So far everything is looking good and is super fun to skate. Here is a clip I threw together of some the guys skating the first ledge that we built this year. This is only the beginning, we're still working on more ideas for more stuff to build there. Trick tips with JP! This is not your usual trick tip, though. JP is going to show you how to build one of the funnest things to skate, the parking block ledge. These are so awesome because their way more fun to skate than a flatbar, and cost less than most flatbars, as well. All of the supplies needed to build one of these are available at Niemic Building Supplies at 800 Grant St, behind Buffstate, and the total cost comes out to about $35. So watch this, scrape up a few bucks and you can build one of these wherever you want!

Sunday's first Canadian rider. Curtis is super nice and kills it on a skateboard. He just recently won longtime friend of the shop Mike Todd's (owner of Cyril Skate Shop) Wanderer of the Year award. Needless to say we are very proud to welcome Curtis to the family. Look for him to have a full-length part in the upcoming Sunday video, but for now check out his 2008 footage (filmed and edited by Brent Kore) and photos (by Terry Worona) below!

Hello Spring!

I know I promised 2 more video updates for this past week, but unfortunately I became very ill and was stuck in bed with one of the highest fevers I've ever had for a few days. However, I'm feeling better now, and Spring seems to be in full effect as is filming for the upcoming yet-to-be-titled Sunday video, which is slated to premiere this Fall. To welcome the good weather, and being able to film again, I am posting the trailer/teaser that was shown before the Mind Field premiere. Wes, Kiefer, Kevin, Jon D, Dave Weaver, and Myself are flying out to Barcelona tomorrow morning to film for the video, more updates when we get back. Enjoy, and go skate!

Kevin's "Broken Nose"

Earlier today, Kevin snapped the nose off his board, and it seemed to have little to no effect on how he was skating. Keep in mind when you watch this it was filmed in about 5 minutes and everything was 1st try. Stay tuned for another update soon. Oh, it's gonna be nice out tomorrow, get out and skate!!
